Three women and five children were injured when a fire broke out in a five-storey residential building on Wednesday. Ajman Civil Defence said the victims inhaled smoke after the blaze began on the third floor. The building is located in the Nuaimi area of the emirate. Brig Gen Abdul Aziz Al Shamsi, head of Ajman Civil Defence, said firefighters quickly evacuated the building Images showed an interior hall and a children's pram and bikes blackened by the smoke.
