A construction worker has been cleared of setting fire to a building on a construction site to protest working conditions after a colleague died.
Dubai Criminal Court acquitted the 42-year-old worker on Sunday of starting a fire, risking the lives of others and causing damage.

On May 18, prosecutors said the Indian man was among a group of workers who started the fire at the a warehouse in Dubai.
A Sudanese representative of the construction company said the defendant incited other workers to protest and set fire to the building and damaged a number of villas and vehicles.
Riot police arrived arrested the man who in court denied causing Dh12.6m in damages and other charges.
On Sunday, he was acquitted of all charges for lack of evidence.
