British boxer and former world champion Amir Khan has been distributing food to the elderly and needy amid the coronavirus outbreak. The Olympic medallist has been giving out the food in the UK as part of his work with the Amir Khan Foundation. “Packing boxes then driving to elderly peoples home to give food boxes. I’m fasting today, I can imagine what they going through," he wrote in an Instagram post earlier this week. "Take a minute out and think about those who are hungry and need our help.” On Twitter the boxer, wearing gloves and a facemask, shared footage of him delivering a food package to a man. "Decided to knock on a random corner house door, to give a food box. The situation is very hard out there for some, Stay safe and have hope," he said. The Amir Khan Foundation says it is dedicated to supporting disadvantaged young people and those in need of assistance.
