Dramatic footage has emerged of a little girl being rescued after her inflatable dinghy drifted out to sea. Lifeboat volunteers were dispatched to <a href="https://www.thenationalnews.com/uae/calls-for-safety-measures-to-be-stepped-up-after-uae-drowning-tragedies-1.895616">rescue </a>the girl off Kinmel Bay in north-east Wales as people flocked to the beach on Monday. An emergency call was made to the Coastguard after the boat became detached from the shoreline and drifted into deeper water. The video shows the girl crying for help when the rescue crew arrives. "You okay? You alright?" volunteers shout as they approach the girl, who was repeatedly crying: "Please help.” The girl quickly climbs on board the rescue boat and is taken back to shore to be reunited with family. The rescue came on the hottest day of the year in the UK so far - the country’s highest temperature of 25.1°C was recorded in Kinlochewe, Scotland. Royal National Lifeboat Institution head of water safety Gareth Morrison said the charity was braced for high demand as Covid-19 restrictions ease. "We are expecting this summer to be the busiest ever for our lifeguards and volunteer lifeboat crews,” he said. "We want people to enjoy the coast but urge everyone to respect the water, think about their own safety and know what to do in an emergency."
