LAS VEGAS // Disgraced former American football star OJ Simpson was sentenced today to 15 years in prison for armed robbery and kidnapping during a 2007 raid on a Las Vegas hotel room. Mr Simpson, who in 1995 was controversially cleared of the murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson, was sentenced on 10 charges after two were dismissed and will not be eligible for parole for some five years. *AFP
