Warehouse421 in Abu Dhabi and Cinema Akil in Dubai have come together to bring <a href="https://www.warehouse421.ae/en/whats-on/">an online programme of acclaimed Arab films</a> to viewers in the UAE. The first films of the series include award-winning Sudanese film <em><a href="https://www.thenationalnews.com/arts-culture/film/you-will-die-at-20-brings-sudanese-cinema-back-to-life-after-revolution-1.963397">You Will Die at Twenty</a> </em>by Amjad Abu Alala and Morad Mostafa's short film <a href="https://www.thenationalnews.com/arts-culture/film/the-story-of-henet-ward-the-only-arabic-film-at-this-year-s-busan-short-film-festival-1.1052942"><em>Henet Ward</em></a>. Abu Alala's film won the Lion of the Future Award when the film was screened at the Venice Film Festival in 2019 and this year was Sudan's first Oscar submission in the country's history. Mostafa's short film has screened at international festivals including London Film Festival, Palm Springs International Shortfest and Cairo International Film Festival among others. Other films in the programme include Saudi film<em> <a href="https://www.thenationalnews.com/arts-culture/film/saudi-director-takes-on-father-son-relationship-in-first-feature-film-1.881382">Last Visit</a></em> by Abdulmohsen Aldhabaan, Omani film <em>Clouds</em> by Muzna Al Musafer, Egyptian film <em>Sunday at Five</em> by Sherif El Bendary and Palestinian film <a href="https://www.thenationalnews.com/arts-culture/film/filmmaker-ameen-nayfeh-debuts-at-venice-i-don-t-want-people-to-look-at-palestinians-as-victims-1.1073618"><em>200 Metres</em></a> by Ameen Nayfeh. While the programme is free, access is limited. Registrants are required to register, after which they will receive a link with a password to access the film.
