Jennifer Aniston joins Instagram with the best first photo

After years of being social media free, it looks like Jennifer Aniston has finally hopped aboard the Instagram bandwagon. And her first post is quite the treat.

The Emmy winner uploaded a photo of a recent dinner with her former Friends costars Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer and Matthew Perry. She simply captioned the photo: “And now we’re Instagram FRIENDS too. HI INSTAGRAM 👋🏻”

Even though her account has only been active for seemingly an hour (since the writing of this story), she’s already amassed over 123,000 followers. Her post already has more than 355,000 likes. She currently only follows 81 accounts including Kudrow, Cox, LeBlanc and Schwimmer (Perry isn't active on the social media platform). She also follows her estrange husband Justin Theroux whom she separated from in 2017.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Aniston admitted that her The Morning Show co-star Reese Witherspoon (who she follows) helped play a part in joining Instagram.

"What you resist, persists," Aniston said, referring to the immutability of social media's presence in our society. "It's something that is a part of our world now and it's not going away."

The 50-year-old has made a return to television as part of Apple TV+'s The Morning Show starring Witherspoon and Steve Carrell which will debut on Friday, November 1 on the streaming service. However, Aniston is most known for her time on Friends - the American TV sitcom that has recently celebrating its 25th anniversary.

It seems she's enjoying having an account as she commented on a post of LeBlanc's writing, "You don’t have to # me anymore." Here's hoping Perry will soon join and we can have the entire cast on Instagram.
