Bollywood actress Preity Zinta has shared her happiness and relief after receiving a negative result for her recent Covid-19 test.
It is the third test the actress has taken in Dubai. The Brother, Superhit star called being tested "quite an experience" and said she had two more days left in quarantine.
Not all visitors to Dubai have to self-isolate, but Zinta is self-isolating for a week, as IPL players have also done upon arriving in the UAE. The number of tests she's taking is also probably connected to the tournament.
Currently in the UAE for the Twenty20 matches, the actress documented her experience in a video on Instagram, showing a health professional in full PPE gear administering the test.
Admitting she has “been so jet lagged I got my quarantine days wrong”, the Bollywood star has been candid about staying indoors in a series of diary videos from her hotel room, tagging the Sofitel hotel on the Palm Jumeirah.
The actress said she sometimes felt restless and “trapped inside the room”. The 45-year-old has been sharing videos of how she passed the time, including clips of her doing in-room workouts. She is also using technology to stay in contact with friends and family.
In a video posted yesterday she said she's "trying to read books, trying to stay positive," but that "it is kind of tough to be locked up in a room". In that same video she sent her wishes to people who are Covid-19 positive and having to quarantine around the world, saying she's thinking of them and hoping for their recovery.
Preity, who co-owns the Kings XI Punjab alongside Mohit Burman, Ness Wadia and Karan Paul, also took time out of her quarantine bubble to send a message to her IPL team, saying, “Hi everyone in Sadda Squad, I just want to say you guys are looking fantastic.
"I have been following you on social media and seeing how hard you guys are training. I'm really excited to finish this quarantine and come to the bubble, so see you then.”
