Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, designer Manish Malhotra – who created Khan's beautiful gold and maroon lehenga – actors Hussain Kuwajerwala and Gautam Rode, all attended the celebrations, as Khan and Darbar shared their "lockdown love story" on Instagram. In an animated video, it was revealed the pair met at a store while shopping for groceries. After swapping phone numbers, they bonded over calls and texts, with Darbar calling the former model, 37, "the most beautiful woman in the world”. Following a string of clandestine "date nights" during the pandemic, the actress revealed, "quarantine drives and parking garages is what date nights looked like", before the choreographer popped the question. "Ever thine, ever mine, ever ours," Khan captioned one wedding shot shared on social media, quoting a passage from a love letter writer by composer Ludwig Beethoven. Zaid, the son of singer and composer Ismail Darbar, had previously stayed quiet about their relationship, only confirming it with their November 5 engagement, which they shared on social media. Khan had previously defended her relationship with Darbar, who is younger than her, telling ETimes of rumours there was a 12-year age gap: "Let me clear this, the age difference that has come out is wrong. Yes, he is a few years younger than me but 12 is not the number. He is way more mature than I am and he has brought a sense of balance in my life." The actress also shared some of her wedding gifts on Instagram Stories, including a tea set from Zoya. For the wedding, the actress wore traditional kurta-shararas and mehendi, opting for a gold and maroon lehenga designed by her close friend Malhotra for the reception. Darbar matched his bride-to-be in a black and gold sherwani and shawl. Scroll through the gallery above for all the photos from the wedding …
