Test your culinary skills at the newly launched Chef’s Palette by Gaggenau cooking studio in Fairmont The Palm, Dubai. Designed for foodies and amateur chefs, the classes will include instruction on basic culinary techniques and ideas for seasonal menus and dinner party entertaining.
Jason Green, the hotel’s executive sous chef, says, “We’ve created a collection of classes that reflect the exciting mix of nationalities both living in and visiting Dubai. Culinary apprentices can try out signature recipes from across Arabia and Asia to South America. We have also included an upscale option of gourmet dishes that feature ingredients such as caviar, lobster and truffles.”
There are two classes available. The two-hour premium cooking class includes hands-on cooking with a chef; a branded apron; soft drinks: takeaway recipe cards and USB; and a certificate of attendance. The two-hour masterclass features ingredients such as foie gras; Wagyu beef; forested mushrooms; and chocolate. It includes all of the benefits in the premium class as well as a three-course lunch or dinner.
There are five classes scheduled in December to celebrate the festive season. Premium classes will be held December 7 and 14 for Dh395 per person. The masterclasses will be held December 2, 9 and 16 for Dh555 per person. There are also kids’ classes available for Dh250 per child.

What is safeguarding?
“Safeguarding, not just in sport, but in all walks of life, is making sure that policies are put in place that make sure your child is safe; when they attend a football club, a tennis club, that there are welfare officers at clubs who are qualified to a standard to make sure your child is safe in that environment,” Derek Bell explains.
