Prepared "a la minute", the Friday brunch experience at Catch Abu Dhabi combines full table service with twists on restaurant favourites. Then, when we heard there was a three-day opening festival at the retail park, featuring a European winter market with pop-up stalls, music, demo fitness classes and family activities, we thought this is the place to be if you're looking for something new this weekend. Snooze Coffee Co is set up in a shipping container, much like those you see at Dubai’s Box Park, and features a cool “Instagram-worthy” giant coffee cup installation outside, and quirky industrial-type furniture inside. The menu includes specialty coffees like Chemex (Dh30) and Picollo, and some interesting cold varieties, including the Dh20 Spanish latte (we’re told this is the best-seller) and Nutella iced latte (Dh25). Stretch your way into record books If you enjoy scheduling a little yoga practice into your weekend and are keen on a challenge, you might like to get involved in an official Guinness World Records attempt to break the record for the most nationalities in a 30-minute yoga session.
