Let's not kid ourselves - we all aspire to live in Dubai's Emirates Hills or the leafy Al Barari where it feels as though you are in another world surrounded by nature as opposed to the bustle of the downtown high-rises.
But the reality is that only the super-rich can shell out for the palace-sized villas which come with enough bedrooms and bathrooms to house many generations of the same family.
There are, however, neighbourhoods in Dubai which offer a standard of living close to the aforementioned communities - at a far lower price point.
One of these is Jumeirah Islands, considered a hidden gem among Dubai's luxury landscape, located behind Jumeirah Lakes Towers.
The neighbourhood is divided into a series of interconnected island clusters containing a collection of villas in different architectural styles as well as townhouses. And one of the villas in the European cluster has recently come on the market at a price of Dh8.5 million.
"The interior design and the upgrades done to this villa are truly exceptional," said Andrew Cummings, managing director of LuxuryProperty.com, which is marketing the property.
“From the upgraded flooring to the new wall moulding and even the general layout, it offers the aesthetic and quality you would expect from a home at Emirates Hills but at a more manageable price point."

With its tree-lined front entrance and dark wood finishings inside, it has the feeling of a country manor, and on a plot of 8,805 sq ft it certainly has the size.
Of course, a roaring log fire-place isn't required in such climes and marble floors are almost standard in Dubai's larger properties, so the rural connection ends there.
All four bedrooms are located upstairs and the master bedroom has space for its own private sitting room. Meanwhile, to the rear, there's a terrace overlooking one of the lakes providing peace and tranquility - the lakes essentially create a moat around the perimeter of the community thereby secluding the properties from the busier roads.

Property prices in the UAE continued to slide in the third quarter, with sale prices in Dubai recording the most pronounced decline of 4 per cent, according to a report by Asteco.
S&P Global Ratings estimated earlier this year that prices in Dubai, the country's largest real estate market, could slip 10 to 15 per cent over the next two years.
However, recent changes to visa regulations which allows expatriates to remain in the UAE during retirement is expected to provide a boost to the property sector.

Hydrogen: Market potential
Hydrogen has an estimated $11 trillion market potential, according to Bank of America Securities and is expected to generate $2.5tn in direct revenues and $11tn of indirect infrastructure by 2050 as its production increases six-fold.
"We believe we are reaching the point of harnessing the element that comprises 90 per cent of the universe, effectively and economically,” the bank said in a recent report.

Other simple ideas for sushi rice dishes
Cheat’s nigiri
This is easier to make than sushi rolls. With damp hands, form the cooled rice into small tablet shapes. Place slices of fresh, raw salmon, mackerel or trout (or smoked salmon) lightly touched with wasabi, then press, wasabi side-down, onto the rice. Serve with soy sauce and pickled ginger.

Islay Robinson, group chief executive of mortgage broker Enness Global, offers his advice on buying property in today's market.
While many have been quick to call a market collapse, this simply isn’t what we’re seeing on the ground. Many pockets of the global property market, including London and the UAE, continue to be compelling locations to invest in real estate.
While an air of uncertainty remains, the outlook is far better than anyone could have predicted. However, it is still important to consider the wider threat posed by Covid-19 when buying bricks and mortar.
Anything with outside space, gardens and private entrances is a must and these property features will see your investment keep its value should the pandemic drag on. In contrast, flats and particularly high-rise developments are falling in popularity and investors should avoid them at all costs.
Attractive investment property can be hard to find amid strong demand and heightened buyer activity. When you do find one, be prepared to move hard and fast to secure it. If you have your finances in order, this shouldn’t be an issue.
Lenders continue to lend and rates remain at an all-time low, so utilise this. There is no point in tying up cash when you can keep this liquidity to maximise other opportunities.
Keep your head and, as always when investing, take the long-term view. External factors such as coronavirus or Brexit will present challenges in the short-term, but the long-term outlook remains strong.
Finally, keep an eye on your currency. Whenever currency fluctuations favour foreign buyers, you can bet that demand will increase, as they act to secure what is essentially a discounted property.

What is graphene?
Graphene is a single layer of carbon atoms arranged like honeycomb.
It was discovered in 2004, when Russian-born Manchester scientists Andrei Geim and Kostya Novoselov were "playing about" with sticky tape and graphite - the material used as "lead" in pencils.
Placing the tape on the graphite and peeling it, they managed to rip off thin flakes of carbon. In the beginning they got flakes consisting of many layers of graphene. But as they repeated the process many times, the flakes got thinner.
By separating the graphite fragments repeatedly, they managed to create flakes that were just one atom thick. Their experiment had led to graphene being isolated for the very first time.
At the time, many believed it was impossible for such thin crystalline materials to be stable. But examined under a microscope, the material remained stable, and when tested was found to have incredible properties.
It is many times times stronger than steel, yet incredibly lightweight and flexible. It is electrically and thermally conductive but also transparent. The world's first 2D material, it is one million times thinner than the diameter of a single human hair.
But the 'sticky tape' method would not work on an industrial scale. Since then, scientists have been working on manufacturing graphene, to make use of its incredible properties.
In 2010, Geim and Novoselov were awarded the Nobel Prize for Physics. Their discovery meant physicists could study a new class of two-dimensional materials with unique properties.

'The worst thing you can eat'
Trans fat is typically found in fried and baked goods, but you may be consuming more than you think.
Powdered coffee creamer, microwave popcorn and virtually anything processed with a crust is likely to contain it, as this guide from Mayo Clinic outlines:
Baked goods - Most cakes, cookies, pie crusts and crackers contain shortening, which is usually made from partially hydrogenated vegetable oil. Ready-made frosting is another source of trans fat.

Khalfan Mubarak
The Al Jazira playmaker has for some time been tipped for stardom within UAE football, with Quique Sanchez Flores, his former manager at Al Ahli, once labelling him a “genius”. He was only 17. Now 23, Mubarak has developed into a crafty supplier of chances, evidenced by his seven assists in six league matches this season. Still to display his class at international level, though.
Rayan Yaslam
The Al Ain attacking midfielder has become a regular starter for his club in the past 15 months. Yaslam, 23, is a tidy and intelligent player, technically proficient with an eye for opening up defences. Developed while alongside Abdulrahman in the Al Ain first-team and has progressed well since manager Zoran Mamic’s arrival. However, made his UAE debut only last December.
Ismail Matar
The Al Wahda forward is revered by teammates and a key contributor to the squad. At 35, his best days are behind him, but Matar is incredibly experienced and an example to his colleagues. His ability to cope with tournament football is a concern, though, despite Matar beginning the season well. Not a like-for-like replacement, although the system could be adjusted to suit.
