There are plenty of users who have enjoyed the feeling of seeing one of their Tweets go viral. Whether it was informative, opinionated, or just intended to raise a smile, Twitter users are constantly retweeting each other’s tweets or liking them as a stamp of approval.
But Twitter is about to take things one step further, by introducing a "tip jar", allowing users to send tips to others on the platform.
The feature is one of a host of new offerings Twitter plans to test in order to evolve its social media offering and allow creators to monetise their content, and give users an optional way to pay for the content they most enjoy. However, the tip jar feature could also benefit the wider Twitter space, encouraging people to focus more on the quantity and quality of their content.
While Twitter is yet to announce the feature, app researcher Jane Manchun Wong discovered a tip jar feature had been added to a number of profiles, which appears to offer options for users to send cash in a number of ways. So far, Bandcamp, Cash App, Patreon, PayPal and Venmo are listed.
While it is not clear when the feature will be rolled out, or how fully, testing looks set to be under way.
Among other features Twitter is said to be testing to help users monetise their accounts is a subscription platform, which would enable creators to limit some certain content to paying followers only. After Twitter’s purchase of Revue, it is also thought it will introduce a feature which would allow users to generate revenue through newsletter-style updates.

Sheikh Dhiyab bin Isa (ruled 1761-1793) Built Qasr Al Hosn as a watchtower to guard over the only freshwater well on Abu Dhabi island.

Classification of skills
A worker is categorised as skilled by the MOHRE based on nine levels given in the International Standard Classification of Occupations (ISCO) issued by the International Labour Organisation.
A skilled worker would be someone at a professional level (levels 1 – 5) which includes managers, professionals, technicians and associate professionals, clerical support workers, and service and sales workers.
