President Sheikh Mohamed and Sheikh Tamim, the Emir of Qatar, have spoken of the need for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza during talks in Abu Dhabi.
The two leaders discussed the need to protect civilian lives and end the suffering in the enclave, news agency Wam said, and their wish to see a lasting peace based on a two-state solution.
Broader issues about the need for stability in the region were also on the agenda.
Sheikh Mohamed and Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, and Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, welcomed Sheikh Tamim at the capital's presidential airport.
Sheikh Mohamed affirmed the UAE's support for Qatar in hosting the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank in 2026, and confirmed that the UAE will withdraw its request to host the meetings.
He wished the Emir and Qatar every success in hosting the gatherings.
Sheikh Tamim thanked Sheikh Mohamed for the UAE's support for Qatar's candidacy as host. Sheikh Tamim left the UAE shortly after 3pm.
What is Reform?
Reform is a right-wing, populist party led by Nigel Farage, a former MEP who won a seat in the House of Commons last year at his eighth attempt and a prominent figure in the campaign for the UK to leave the European Union.
It was founded in 2018 and originally called the Brexit Party.
Many of its members previously belonged to UKIP or the mainstream Conservatives.
After Brexit took place, the party focused on the reformation of British democracy.
Former Tory deputy chairman Lee Anderson became its first MP after defecting in March 2024.
The party gained support from Elon Musk, and had hoped the tech billionaire would make a £100m donation. However, Mr Musk changed his mind and called for Mr Farage to step down as leader in a row involving the US tycoon's support for far-right figurehead Tommy Robinson who is in prison for contempt of court.

Dubai launched the pilot phase of its real estate tokenisation project last month.
The initiative focuses on converting real estate assets into digital tokens recorded on blockchain technology and helps in streamlining the process of buying, selling and investing, the Dubai Land Department said.
Dubai’s real estate tokenisation market is projected to reach Dh60 billion ($16.33 billion) by 2033, representing 7 per cent of the emirate’s total property transactions, according to the DLD.
