Sheikh Abdullah meets Afghan Foreign Minister in Abu Dhabi



Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, on Wednesday, received Afghanistan’s acting Foreign Minister, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, in Abu Dhabi.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance them to achieve the mutual interests of both countries, state news agency Wam reported. They also exchanged views on regional and international issues of common concern.

They also reviewed ways to strengthen co-operation, with a particular focus on supporting reconstruction and development efforts in Afghanistan.

The meeting was also attended by Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State.
