President Sheikh Mohamed on Friday received Prime Minister Milojko Spajic of Montenegro in Abu Dhabi, for discussions focused on growing ties between the two countries.
The leaders spoke about "opportunities to bolster co-operation and broaden its scope, particularly in priority development sectors such as the economy, trade, renewable energy, food security, and infrastructure", state news agency Wam reported.
Two bilateral agreements in the fields of economy and tourism were also signed during Mr Spajic's working visit to the UAE.
During the discussions Sheikh Mohamed emphasised the UAE’s commitment to deepening its development partnerships with countries in the Balkans, including Montenegro, where the UAE has significant investments, particularly in renewable energy, food security and infrastructure.
