In the next episode of Tonight's Chat, an online interview series exclusively on The National, host Ricardo Karam is in conversation with Ibrahim Maalouf.

Maalouf is a composer, producer and world-awarded musician. Known for his genre-busting music, Maalouf has over the past decade produced, composed and arranged over 15 albums for himself and other artists. He has also composed more than 10 symphonic works. Tapped to work with the famous American record producer Quincy Jones during a concert at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 2017, the trumpet and flugelhorn player has performed all over the world, including right here in the UAE.

On Tonight's Chat, Maalouf discusses his life and works. Born in Beirut in 1980, Maalouf talks about his childhood and his experience fleeing to Paris as a child with his family during the Lebanese Civil War. He also discusses one of his biggest musical influences, his father Nassim.
