SHARJAH // Two magical goals from Javad Kazemian helped Ajman stun hosts Al Sharjah last night.
Kazemian opened the scoring in the 27th minute, but Anderson equalised for Sharjah from the spot three minutes later. A second goal from the former Iranian international in the 68th minute, however, sealed the promoted club's second win from four games of the season.
Ajman, Kazemian and the beguiling Moroccan Abdul Haq al Areef, were impressive right through and deserved victory over the "The Kings", who still seemed to be suffering from the affects of a 4-1 loss to Al Shabab at home in their last game, an Etisalat Cup clash.
Mohammed Hussain, the Ajman goalkeeper, also played a big part in frustrating the hosts before he was driven off in an ambulance towards the end of the first half, after crashing into Saeed al Kas.
Kazemian, who won the championship with Al Shabab last year, broke the deadlock in the 27th minute, working his way past a maze of defenders, recovering his balance after falling to the ground and then finishing cooly with a deft volley.
Ajman, however, could not hold on to their lead for long as the hosts earned a penalty in the 30th minute when Khalifa al Mansouri was brought down by the Ajman captain Abdulrehman Ibraheem. Anderson converted from the spot.
It was the prolific Brazilian's sixth league goal from four games this season. Ajman dominated the second half and their hard work finally paid off when Kazemian scored the winner in the 68th minute, weaving his way through the defence and rounding the keeper to slot home.
