LEICESTER RATINGS: Kasper Schmeichel - 6: Didn’t have anything to do in the first half but would have been relieved to see Adama Traore fail to get his shot on target when through on goal.
Ricardo Pereira - 8: Handled the pace of Traore well on the right side of defence. The Portuguese star showed his experience, winning the ball back well on a number of occasions for his side. A pinpoint cross for Jamie Vardy allowed the striker the score the winner.
Daniel Amartey - 6: A sloppy pass saw Traore released on goal in the 36th minute but the winger’s finish was poor. While the defender’s passing wasn’t good enough all afternoon, a crucial block against Max Kilman helped secure all three points.
Caglar Soyuncu - 6: Didn’t have a huge amount to deal with but looked comfortable with whatever Wolves did throw at him.
Luke Thomas - 7: A solid showing by the young defender. Wolves didn’t have much success down Leicester’s left-hand side and Thomas was key to that.
Wilfred Ndidi - 7: Strong on the ball and didn’t make any mistakes. An easy day at the office for Ndidi who was hardly stretched defensively by Wolves.
Youri Tielemans - 7: Incisive on the ball as the Belgian looked to release the Leicester attackers whenever possible. As ever, a calm presence in the middle of the park.
Ayoze Perez - 6: Contributed a number of good passes into dangerous areas and looked positive when in possession.
James Maddison - 5: Midfielder who has been linked with Arsenal all summer couldn’t get into the game here.
Harvey Barnes - 5: Ineffective for most of the game but important minutes for a player who struggled with injury last season. Should have found Jamie Vardy after being played through by Tielemans.
Jamie Vardy 8 - The prolific striker picked up where he left off at the end of last season. Sharp, intelligent movement and found space in the channels. Superb header from a Pereira cross earned Foxes all three points
SUBS: Jannik Vestergaard - (On for Perez 62') 6: Only completed his move from Southampton on Friday. Should have done better with a 50/50 challenge against Traore that allowed the forward to get in shot on goal.
Boubakary Soumare - (On for Maddison 62') 6 - The French Ligue 1 title winner looked calm in the centre of the park alongside Ndidi but was almost caught out by Traore who snatched the ball from him close to the Leicester box.
Kelechi Iheanacho - (On for Barnes 72') 6: Added energy into the game with fresh legs against a tiring Wolves back four.
Jose Sa - 6: A strong hand helped a Tielemans effort from range past the post. There wasn’t much the goalkeeper could have done about the winner. Didn't have much to do in second half as Wolves improved defensively.
Ki-Jana Hoever - 6: Got forward much more in the second half as Wolves changed to a back four. The Dutchman couldn’t offer much threat when on the ball in dangerous areas though. Sliced a shot wide just before the hour mark.
Conor Coady - 7: Fought hard against Vardy who was constantly looking to get in behind the Wolves defence. Had the ball in the net late on but had been caught offside.
Max Kilman - 7: Good distribution out from the back as Wolves looked more settled in the second-half. Enjoyed battle with Vardy who kept defender on his toes. Almost levelled the scoring in the 87th minute, cutting inside and then seeing his shot was blocked.
Marcal - 6: The wingback got forward on a number of occasions to provide good support in attacking areas. A respectable outing from the Brazilian.
Romain Saiss - 6: Leicester could have taken the lead in the 21st minute but for Romain Saiss who blocked on the line.
Ruben Neves - 7: The reliable Portuguese star was effective on both sides of the pitch for Wolves, helping transition play while also breaking up Leicester attacks. A reverse pass provided a glimpse of goal for Trincao who failed to trouble Schmeichel..
Joao Moutinho - 7: A veteran’s performance in the middle of the park. Moutinho deserved an assist after intercepting Amartey’s pass but Traore couldn’t finish.
Francisco Trincao - 6: Found space in the second half when played in by Neves but should have hit it first time and the chance went begging.
Adama Traore - 7: Did everything but score. Should have found the back of the net when released clean through on goal by Moutinho. Despite some moments of trickery creating a number of dangerous opportunities for Wolves, the Spaniard seemed to make the wrong decision with his final ball or fail to trouble the goalkeeper.
Raul Jimenez - 6: A quiet game for the Mexican star, but Wolves fans will be happy just to see their forward back in action after his horrific fractured skull last season.
SUBS: Leander Dendoncker - (On for Moutinho 67') 6: Helped transition the ball forwards as Wolves fought for an equaliser.
Morgan Gibbs-White - (On for Trincao 86') N/A.
