Nuno Espirito Santo’s side sit below leaders Liverpool after they leapfrogged Arsenal, who beat Ipswich 1-0 on Friday. Forest have clocked up 37 points from 19 games, with the Gunners a point behind them but with a game in hand. Striker Wood had a hand in both goals, dinking a delightful finish over Everton keeper Jordan Pickford to open the scoring after 15 minutes for his 11th Premier League goal of the season, before feeding Gibbs-White for the second just past the hour mark. After the game Wood spoke to BBC Radio 5 Live about his side moving into second spot, saying: “It is nice, but we are not worried about that. “We have got to keep focusing on what we are doing and take it game by game. “It was a hard-fought victory today, but a nice one. No secret – it is about working hard and doing well as a team. “It is about taking your opportunities when it comes and fortunately I was able to do that. “We have been dominant in our attacking force both starting and on the bench.” The defeat brought to an end a four-game unbeaten run for Sean Dyche’s Everton side, who now sit just three points above the drop zone. After the game. Dyche said: “Credit to them because they've done what they've done to a number of teams this season by playing the counter-attack football and doing it very well. “From us an incredibly disappointing first half, nothing football, completely the opposite of what the game plan was. “Bit better second half but you can't give away a second goal like that because, when they get their noses in front, we know they've been strong all season.” Wolves fought back to draw 2-2 with Tottenham Hotspur after substitute Jorgen Strand Larsen grabbed a late equaliser to continue new manager Vitor Pereira’s impressive start. The Midlanders had taken the lead at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the seventh minute as Hwang Hee-chan fired them ahead from the edge of the area at a corner. But Ange Postecoglou’s side hit back shortly afterwards when Rodrigo Bentancur glanced in a header from Pedro Porro’s corner. The home side then should have gone ahead after Brennan Johnson was brought down in the box by Andre, with Wolves keeper Jose Sa denying Heung Son-min from the spot. Spurs did get their noses in front in first-half stoppage time, however, when Johnson put them ahead with a low strike in the box after a neat interchange of passes with Dejan Kulusevski. Tottenham had chances to increase their lead in the second half but failed to take them. Dominic Solanke was unable to get on the end of a Timo Werner cross into the six-yard box while Kulusevski perhaps should have done better when he broke clear. But Wolves refused to give up and substitute Strand Larsen beat Spurs keeper Fraser Forster at the near post with a stinging angled shot in the 87th minute. Crystal Palace came from behind to beat bottom-of-the-table Southampton 2-1 at home thanks to a winner from Eberechi Eze. Saints took the lead in the 14th minute as Tyler Dibling tapped in after some good work by Kyle Walker-Peters and Adam Armstrong. But 16 minutes later, Trevoh Chalobah levelled for Palace as he headed home a Will Hughes corner. Southampton protested, feeling that keeper Aaron Ramsdale had been fouled by Jean-Philippe Mateta but the goal was allowed to stand after a VAR check. Then Eze scored a superb winner after 52 minutes to clinch a welcome three points for Saints. Fulham were held to a 2-2 draw at Craven Cottage with Bournemouth twice coming back to seal a point. Mexican striker Raul Jimenez put the hosts in front in the 40th minute with his sixth goal of the season after some poor defending at a corner. But the Cherries levelled it just six minutes after the break when Evanilson scored his first goal in seven games with a superb finish from a tight angle. Harry Wilson then thought he had given the home side the points with a brilliant header in the 72nd minute, but substitute Dango Ouattara snatched a point for the visitors in the 89th minute as he lifted the ball over Bernd Leto.
