LEEDS UNITED PLAYER RATINGS: Illan Meslier, 6 - Outside of the two goals that he couldn’t do much to prevent, Leeds’ number one made some decent saves on an eventful night in Yorkshire. Reuters

Luke Ayling, 4 - From not tracking back for the opening goal to losing his man for the second, it was a horrible night at the office for Ayling. Reuters

Pascal Struijk, 5 - Needs to work on improving his partnership with Cooper and should’ve followed the passage of play better for Sigurdsson’s goal. AP

Liam Cooper, 5 - Often looked like a deer in the headlights with poor vision and poor physicality, especially for Everton’s second. AFP

Ezgjan Alioski, 6 - Produced one of the best moments of the game with a volley that struck the post in the first half, and after that, his sustained pressure was one of Leeds’ best assets. AP

Kalvin Phillips, 7 - Tracked back well and had a few nice deliveries even if he did occasionally get lost in the chaos of the tempo. EPA

Raphinha, 8 - Far and away the best creative outlet for Bielsa’s men and was able to get his much-deserved reward for that with a well-placed finish. AP

Mateusz Klich, 4 - Couldn’t hold the ball up, rarely made a good decision when in possession and killed off a few important Leeds attacks. AP

Stuart Dallas, 6 - Looked lost in the first half and didn’t seem to fill in the gaps in the middle of the park, with part of the blame for that probably being the clear lack of chemistry with Klich. Reuters

Jack Harrison, 5 - While he may have battled hard in the build-up to Leeds’ goal, Harrison gifted Everton the ball prior to their opener and made a string of questionable tackles. PA

Patrick Bamford, 7 - Improved as the game went on and managed to grab a tidy assist, but overall, probably wasn’t given the service he needed to make an extended impact. Reuters

SUBS: Pablo Hernandez, N/A - His only real contribution was a sloppy pass in what was a fairly unremarkable cameo on Wednesday night. Reuters

EVERTON PLAYER RATINGS: Robin Olsen, 8 - In one of the most crucial passages of the game, Olsen pulled off three or four stunning saves just after the hour mark to ensure the Toffees remained 2-1 up. AP

Lucas Digne, 6 - There are plenty of great things to say about Digne’s low cross for the first goal, but defensively speaking he was often out of position and a bit of a liability. AFP

Ben Godfrey, 8 - Covered lots of ground at the back, provided a good assist with a well-timed header and generally felt very composed for the visitors. Reuters
