Temperatures in the UAE dipped to the low-to-mid twenties on Monday morning, with more cool weather set to follow this week.

Fresh and breezy winds will come as a relief to UAE residents after a blast of high humidity in September and the first half of October.

The National Centre of Meterology forecast lows of 26ºC along the coast and 22ºC in mountainous areas, with highs of 38ºC and 32ºC respectively.

There will be a chance of fog or mist over some coastal and internal areas in the mornings this week.

Conditions at sea will be slight to moderate, becoming rough by late night westward in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Gulf of Oman.

Beach-goers should be aware that the seas will be much rougher on Thursday - a national holiday for the Prophet's birthday - and Friday, the NCM forecast said.

Global forecaster AccuWeather showed a significant improvement in air quality at 30AQI out of a possible 100 - with 100 being the worst air conditions - and with humidity at just 30 per cent on Monday morning.
