The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company has fractionally reduced the price for liquid gas refills at all its northern Emirates stations.
Customers refilling their 50 pound gas cylinders will now pay Dh89 instead of Dh91 and those filling a 25 pound container will pay Dh45 instead of Dh46.
The marginal decrease does little to bridge the significant price gap of liquid gas refills between Adnoc stations in the Abu Dhabi emirate and those located in the northern Emirates.
At Dh30 a refill, 50 pound canisters in Abu Dhabi stations cost a third of northern Emirates prices while the 25 pound containers can be filled at less than half the northern Emirates prices at Dh25.
A northern Emirate Adnoc station employee said the price discrepancy only came about two years ago before which the prices were identical.
The Adnoc Distribution company was not available for comment.

Where to stay

Sheikh Dhiyab bin Isa (ruled 1761-1793) Built Qasr Al Hosn as a watchtower to guard over the only freshwater well on Abu Dhabi island.
