DUBAI // A Dubai policeman denied helping a friend in kidnap, assault, rape and threaten an Emirati man in September, the Dubai Criminal Court of First Instance heard this morning.
According to court records, KM, 23, Emirati, met the victim AS, 21, on Jumeirah Road at 12.30pm on September 29.
AS told prosecutors he rode with KM in a car driven by a third man, identified in records as H. The two drove towards the villa of AE, an Emirati policeman, claiming they wanted to get KM’s car.
Prosecutors said that AE met them in Al Safa and got into the car.
When they arrived at his home, prosecutors say, they forced the victim into the villa, where KM slapped him and tore his clothes.
KM then pushed the victim to the ground face-down and H – who was not charged, according to records – brought a table and threw on AS’ back to restrain him.
Prosecutors said AE came into the room and helped KM move AS to the bathroom, where KM then raped him twice.
Records show that after the rape, the two men assaulted AS and injured his left arm with a knife before threatening to kill him and his family if he reported the incident to police.
AS testified that they dropped him off to Jumeirah after giving him new clothes.
The victim’s sister called her elder brother and told him AS has been assaulted but refused to tell her who hurt him, records show.
The brother, MS, 35, spoke with AS and found out what had happened two days after the incident. He then called police.
A forensic report confirmed signs of force consistent with rape.
The next hearing was scheduled for April 6.
