ABU DHABI // The eight edition of the Emirates International Date Palm Festival will begin next week.
The festival will include a date palm museum that will offer information on the growth stages of palm trees and dates, and ways of drying the dates.
It will also provide information to the visitors on the historic and Islamic significance in the UAE and Muslim world.
There will also be a palm tree climbing activity, a food preparation where chefs will make date delicacies, and a children’s play area.
The aim of the event is to highlight the nutritional values and benefits of dates, and encourage the marketing of dates regionally and globally.
