The Dubai Canvas Festival begins on Sunday with the focus this year on 3D art.
The week-long festival, which is organised by Brand Dubai, will include a 3D exhibit in The Beach, opposite Jumeirah Beach Residences, as well as special workshops and lectures by renowned international artists such as Kurt Wenner, the inventor of 3D Art, and Peter Westerink, founder and director of Planet Streetpainting.
There will be two children’s art display areas and the festival also provides an opportunity for Emirati artists to showcase their skills.

- Cecelia Crocker was on board Northwest Airlines Flight 255 in 1987 when it crashed in Detroit, killing 154 people, including her parents and brother. The plane had hit a light pole on take off

Expo details
Expo 2020 Dubai will be the first World Expo to be held in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia
The world fair will run for six months from October 20, 2020 to April 10, 2021.
It is expected to attract 25 million visits
