UAE weather: temperatures rise as summer approaches



ABU DHABI // Monday will be partly cloudy and hazy as high temperatures continue to climb.

Fair weather can be expected with temperatures reaching 42°C inland and 38°C on the coast, the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology says.

Cooler weather is forecast for the mountain regions, which will have highs of 32°C and lows 14°C. Minimums of 22°C are expected for the coast and inland.

Humidity will reach as high as 80 per cent in the coastal cities, 70 per cent inland and 60 at higher altitudes.

Wind will be light to moderate with similar conditions expected in the Arabian Gulf and Sea of Oman.

On Sunday, the highest temperature recorded across the country was 43.6.°C in Mezaira, in Al Dhafra near the Saudi Arabian border, at 3.30pm.
