Latest: Dusty skies expected as temperatures rise above 40°C
Temperatures across the UAE will reach as high as the low 40s on Thursday.
In Dubai the maximum temperature is forecast to be 35°C and Abu Dhabi is expected to reach 36°C.
Along the coast and islands the maximum is likely to be 38°C with 80 per cent humidity, and the mountains are expected to hit 28°C with 60 per cent humidity.
The interior is expected to record the highest temperatures and 41°C is forecast with up to 85 per cent humidity.
The National Centre of Meteorology said Thursday will be fair in general, with haze over some internal areas.
It will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times in the east.
There will be light to moderate winds, freshening at times and causing dust to blow.
The sea will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and in the Oman Sea.
How to apply for a drone permit
- Individuals must register on UAE Drone app or website using their UAE Pass
- Add all their personal details, including name, nationality, passport number, Emiratis ID, email and phone number
- Upload the training certificate from a centre accredited by the GCAA
- Submit their request
What are the regulations?
- Fly it within visual line of sight
- Never over populated areas
- Ensure maximum flying height of 400 feet (122 metres) above ground level is not crossed
- Users must avoid flying over restricted areas listed on the UAE Drone app
- Only fly the drone during the day, and never at night
- Should have a live feed of the drone flight
- Drones must weigh 5 kg or less
