Thunder rumbled across Dubai’s skies this morning as the working week began with unsettled weather across the UAE. In Dubai, light rain was expected this morning, while dark skies hung over Abu Dhabi as forecasters warned of a significant fall in temperatures and a chance of rain across the coast, northern and eastern areas. Forecasters warned Dubai could experience more rain this afternoon, while Abu Dhabi is expected to be dry with overcast skies and occasional sunny intervals. Parts of the UAE will see gusts of up to 45kph and continuing dust storms, resulting in reduced visibility down to less than 2,000 metres in parts until midday, said forecasters. The sea will be very rough, becoming rough overnight in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea. Inland, temperatures will range from a chilly 10°C to highs of 26°C, while it was marginally warmer on the coast first thing, ranging from 13°C to 25°C. A further drop in temperatures is expected tomorrow, with gusts of up to 55kph which will bring further dust storms over exposed areas.
