Coronavirus: Sheikh Hamdan meets emergency service crews on duty for Eid

The Crown Prince of Dubai met emergency service workers who were on duty for the first day of Eid Al Fitr.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed spoke to police officers and bicycle patrol volunteers at Al Qusais police station.

He also met Civil Defence fire crews and paramedics at stations in the same area. thanking them for their service.

Dubai Government Media Office said the Crown Prince personally thanked "frontline heroes". He also visited personnel from the country's State Security agency.

Emergency service workers were on duty as families across the country celebrate Eid at home.

Restrictions have been eased in recent weeks and shopping malls and restaurants have opened, but families were urged to be cautious and spend the holiday season at home as the country tackles the coronavirus outbreak.
