The future of the nation was on top of the agenda as Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid held key talks with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed on Monday.
The Vice President and Ruler of Dubai met Sheikh Mohamed, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, at Qasr Al Bahr Majlis in Abu Dhabi.
The two leaders discussed efforts to fulfil the vision for the futurealong with other issues of national importance.
The meeting was also attended by leading officials including Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, and Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak, Minister of Tolerance.
Nobel Peace Prize laureate Nadia Murad was greeted by the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince during the event.
Ms Murad, a goodwill ambassador to the UN, was among thousands of Yazidi women captured by ISIS and forced into sexual slavery after the group overran the Sinjar area in northern Iraq in August 2014.
She escaped after several months and has become a prominent campaigner against the use of sexual violence as weapon of war.
In October of last year, in what was her first major appearance since winning the Nobel prize, Ms Murad attended a conference in Sharjah to call on the international community to seek justice for minorities.
The gathering came a day after Sheikh Mohammed chaired a Cabinet meeting in which he formed a committee, to be led by Sheikh Mansour, to implement a plan to shape the direction of the Emirates.
He published a six-point letter on Saturday that called on ministers to stand among the people to better serve them, and to confront any issues raised by Emiratis.
In the letter, Sheikh Mohammed criticised social media users who spoke on behalf of the UAE without having the authority to do so.
He wrote of reinvigorating Emiratisation and revamping property projects to boost the economy.
