More patients beat Covid-19 than tested positive for the coronavirus in the UAE for the ninth consecutive day on Monday.
Health authorities reported 2,798 new cases of infection, while the number of people to have cleared the virus was 3,933.
The accelerated recovery rate brought active cases down to 18,671, after the high of 27,792 in mid-January.
Ninety-four per cent of people infected, at least 309,692, overcome Covid-19 across the country since the outbreak. In total, 329,293 cases were reported.
Nine patients died of Covid-19 on Monday, raising the death toll to 930, or 0.27 per cent of all cases.
The new infections were detected after another 148,587 tests were conducted in the UAE, which is among the top countries for screening per capita worldwide.
More than 27 million DPI and PCR tests have been carried out since the nation’s first cases were detected in January last year.
The country is also embarking on a widespread vaccination drive to immunise at least half of the population by the end of next month.
Four vaccines are available, of which Sinopharm is used throughout the country. Another 99,781 doses of the vaccine were administered since Sunday, raising the total number to more than 4.4m. This equates to 44.63 doses per 100 people.
This week, authorities said older adults, people with disabilities and anyone with chronic illness would have priority for the next six weeks.
Anyone yet to receive their first dose of the vaccine must now wait until late March or early April.
But people who have taken their first dose and have the second scheduled over the next few weeks will receive the vaccine as planned, authorities said.
In an effort to slow the rate of infection, authorities have also brought in health and safety measures to restrict crowding in public and private spaces.
Capacity limits have been placed on restaurants, gyms, pools and beaches, and malls across much of the country.
On Monday, Ajman’s Department of Economic Development said cafes and restaurants would have to close at midnight and reduce capacity to 50 per cent.
The department said up to 50 people could attend weddings, provided all in attendance wear face masks, have tested negative for the virus and maintain a distance of at least two metres from one another.

What is graphene?
Graphene is a single layer of carbon atoms arranged like honeycomb.
It was discovered in 2004, when Russian-born Manchester scientists Andrei Geim and Kostya Novoselov were "playing about" with sticky tape and graphite - the material used as "lead" in pencils.
Placing the tape on the graphite and peeling it, they managed to rip off thin flakes of carbon. In the beginning they got flakes consisting of many layers of graphene. But as they repeated the process many times, the flakes got thinner.
By separating the graphite fragments repeatedly, they managed to create flakes that were just one atom thick. Their experiment had led to graphene being isolated for the very first time.
At the time, many believed it was impossible for such thin crystalline materials to be stable. But examined under a microscope, the material remained stable, and when tested was found to have incredible properties.
It is many times times stronger than steel, yet incredibly lightweight and flexible. It is electrically and thermally conductive but also transparent. The world's first 2D material, it is one million times thinner than the diameter of a single human hair.
But the 'sticky tape' method would not work on an industrial scale. Since then, scientists have been working on manufacturing graphene, to make use of its incredible properties.
In 2010, Geim and Novoselov were awarded the Nobel Prize for Physics. Their discovery meant physicists could study a new class of two-dimensional materials with unique properties.
