ABU DHABI // A man accused of being part of the secret organisation that was on trial last year for its links with the Muslim Brotherhood denied the charges in the Federal Supreme Court on Tuesday.
M S, 36, is accused of joining an illegal secret organisation linked to the Muslim Brotherhood, some of whose members were prosecuted last year.
Public prosecution said the organisation aims to speak out against the basic principles underlying the system of governance in the UAE with the purpose of overtaking the Government.
M S was also accused of taking part in various organisational activities, including being in charge of the membership committee at the Dubai office and revising reports on the committee’s projects. He was also accused of transferring money to other members of the organisation, and collecting alms and donations that support the group’s activities.
M S denied all the charges.
A request by his lawyers, Hamdan Al Zeyoodi and Yaser Al Naqbi, to give him bail was rejected by the Judge Falah Al Hajeri.
The case was adjourned to December 22, when the witness will testify.

December 6: Arab League formally admits the UAE. The first British Ambassador presents his credentials to Sheikh Zayed.
December 9: UAE joins the United Nations.

What are the guidelines?
