A public prosecution dedicated to dealing with tourists cases has opened at Abu Dhabi International Airport.

The prosecution - launched by the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department - aims to solve legal issues involving tourists so they are not obliged to stay in the capital until their case is resolved.

The office is expected to reduce the length of time traditional lawsuits would take to avoid delaying tourists in the country.

A prosecutor will be available all day and night to solve problems and make judicial decisions regarding any issues that nationals, residents and tourists could face while trying to leave or enter the country.

Abu Dhabi International Airport is the first worldwide to have an office for judicial and prosecution services, said Abdulmajeed Al Khouri, chief executive of Abu Dhabi Airports.
