Dubai Police vow to take action over car bonnet road rage incident

A parking valet put his life at risk after jumping on the bonnet of a moving car on a Dubai highway after a dispute with a driver.

Dubai Police have vowed to take action after the staggering road rage incident, showing a man clambering onto the car and refusing to budge as a motorist drives through Madinet Jumeirah, near to the Dubai Holding building.

During the 78-second clip, the man climbs back on to the bonnet of the car on a number of occasions as the driver continues to jolt forwards.

Both the man and the female motorist have been summoned to Bur Dubai Police Station after a recording of the incident was widely shared on social media.

In a post on its official Instagram account, Dubai Police said that tempers flared after the valet blocked the woman's path after a disagreement over whether she had given him the correct parking ticket.

Colonel Faisal Essa Al Qasim, director of Dubai Police Security Media, confirmed that action was being taken against both parties.

Colonel Al Qasim urged members of the public to always seek the help of authorities when faced with a conflict.

He also warned members of the public not to post or share provocative content on social media, as such acts are punishable by law.

Police have not disclosed when the incident took place.
