Commuters on the Dubai Metro can use free Wi-Fi for the month of Ramadan.
Telecoms company du is providing the service for 30 days to give “seamless connectivity” to commuters.
“The ability to connect anywhere, at any time, empowers people with the ability to be more productive, and to stay in touch with the things that matter most to them,” said Fahad Al Hassawi, du’s chief commercial officer.
In addition, the company will donate Dh10 to a charitable iftar project for every person who posts to Twitter, Instagram and Facebook using the hashtag #30DaysofSharing, which is the name of the internet campaign.
