The UAE on Monday said that reports of a foiled terrorist plot in Dubai were “wholly false”.

The claims of a planned attack were initially made in Israeli media with articles beginning to circulate by Sunday evening.

The UAE Government, in a statement to The National, denied "media reports circulating today regarding the foiling of an alleged attack in Dubai".

“The UAE Government noted that these rumours are wholly false and urged accuracy in reporting. Moreover, the UAE Government called upon the public and media to refer to official sources for information and to avoid circulating unverified reports.”
