An Emirati man was flown to hospital after suffering from exhaustion while trekking in the mountains of Ras Al Khaimah. The air wing division of the emirate's police force flew to his rescue after the alarm was raised. The man, 26, whose blood pressure had plummeted, was given first aid at the scene before being transported to Saqr Hospital. "As soon as we received a call at 3.05pm on Thursday about a fatigued Emirati man, one of the section's helicopters moved to the provided location," said colonel pilot Saeed Rashid Al Yamahi, head of the air wing division at Ras Al Khaimah police. "The air wing section in Ras Al Khaimah police responds quickly to many rescue tasks in various areas of the emirate." The official urged mountaineers to always carry food and drinks when on climbing trips.
